The last weekends there has been som tikering on the fuelsystem. Most parts from the tank to the fuel lines is finished, apart from some hoses due to some fittings that i don't have yet.

I was finally getting the rear end of the chassis onto the car, but no... The subframe is bent, so it went to h*ll. IMS ordered a subframe from the scrapyard before sand-blasting and powder coating, and that one apparently ended up on my car, and it's bent. A new one is on its way, but the sand blasting and powder coating is going to take a while. Apart from that it hasn't happened that much, apart from that I've gotten a new release bearing, that fits the US box, and a new center bearing.

I've been doing some stuff with the car during the fall, but everything is taking much more time than expected. Anyway, the tranny mounts is now fabricated and painted. then I've assembled the chassis, so now we "only" have to throw it up under the car and connect the H&R's! Apart from that we've made a completely new shifter assembly. Earlier we was thinking of using the stock assembly with a home-made linkage, but it's easier to make a new shifter assembly, togehter with a slightly bent 80q linkage.

Well, I guess it's about time I do an update. It hasn't happened that much since last time. Anonter gearbox and some parts for the transmission have arrived. I also got the head and cams in place this spring. It got virtually impossible to get the car finished before the summer, and I was pretty sick and tired of the car, so everything has been still until a few weeks ago. Anyways, the rear diff and the "new" gearbox has been cleaned, some chassis parts has gotten some paint, and new wheels has been bought!

Last weekend all the chassis bushes got into place, the fuelrail was modified and bracketry for the fuelrail was manufactured. I also got the "new" gearbox working, the gear chooser axis had gotten really stuck.

There's been at least some work done on the car during the last three weeks. The head has been removed and machined to fit the new cams, the oil pan has been removed and re-fitted due to the change to raceware main studs. The chassie parts have returned from sand blastning and painting, so we've mounted the bushings in them. I also discovered that the top mounts are not fully compatible with the H&R kit, so a bunch of specially made distances have been manufactured to make it all work. The holes in the inlet manifold for the vacuum fittings have been drilled up and re-threaded to fit the new banjo fittings. We've also come up with a plan how to make the mounts for the fuelrail. Last but not least the "new" gearbox has arrived.

Because the GTE decided to die in Oskarshamn last time I was going to Kalmar, not much has happened. Some new stuff has arrived, though; New sinter clutch disc, poly snub mount, fuelrail, compression lowering head gasket, propshaft support bearing, spark plug boots, ball joints and some fittings.

Went down to IMS/kalmar last week and removed the rest of the front-end chassis and the gearbox; the oily, cloggy, dusguisting piece of crap gearbox. This week Bbx has been removing all the bushes, so now the parts is ready to be sent away for painting. Some new parts have arrived too, the H&R coilovers and a set of top mounts. Yummy!

Some new parts arrived last week; a pair of ellipsoid headlights and a pair of evil cams. Thought it was time to replace the headlights after running around with two autobahn blastered, and one cracked, for several years... I've also got the rear subframe, diff, and other rear chassi stuff removed from the car. The parts will be sent away to be sand blastered and powder coated as soon as the front stuff is removed too. The propshaft support bearing and the rear diff bush looked pretty crappy, so now wonder it has been thunking alot.
