This year's tinkering season has officially started. The latest two weeks the front has been detatched, and some wiring has been disconnected due to the forthcoming Haltech installation. We've also measured the camshafts, and that wasn't really any good news. But after all, new cams are already on its way, so the good part of it is that the difference is going to be even bigger. Then the disassembling of the chassis has begun. Everything is being taken apart, and is going to get sand-blastered and powder coated. It seems that the front shocks weren't in mint condition, so it looks like I'm going to get me a H&R adjustable chassis! And, i almost forgot; my RS2 front arb has arrived! Looking pretty hardcore...

It hasn't happened that much since last time... The car has gotten a little less rust, and a little more paint, and a windshield. Apart from that I've moved the car and all car parts down to kalmar, where it's now resting in the new irry garage. Then I've had another change of mind in the gearbox issue, the plan now is to use an 016 box!

The car is now inspected. It didn't pass the first time, because the inside of the front tires were totally worn out, and the pollution values were really bad. Borrowed a couple of tires and "tweaked" a bit, so now it has passed. I had decided to get rid of the annoying small bubbles at the edge of the windsheild, so now when the windsheild is replaced, the car is at the body shop. When they removed the windshield, they found corrosion all the way on the front edge of the roof, so now it's getting fixed, and on top of that a paintjob on the entire roof.

Two weeks ago, I drove into a pothole, then the generator stopped charging... Got a bit nervous and thought something went bezerk in the electrical system, because the ABS- lamp also started to glow. I took the car apart, and it showed that it was only the coals or the regulator that was bad. Anyway, I changed the whole package, so as soon as the bumper is in its place , the car will be up for some action again!

I haven't updated in a while, but i've had my vacation... The first day of my vacation, I got my own WG back onto the car, after getting the old studs drilled out (Thanks KEWE!). A week after this, we had our yearly ice-cream-meet, and tacq showed up with my parts from Summit. After that, the AFR-gauge was mounted, whit lots of anger. The yanks have only put ONE plug in the end of the sensor cable. A BIG plug. Later on, I read in the instructions that you should use a 1 1/16" big drill to get the plug through the firewall. Right... I made a temporary solution until the Haltech is to be mounted. Then I've ordered a RS2 front ARB, but it seems that it will never show up. At last, I've bought a pair of GT3 calipers with discs and pads, so next summer I'm gonna be able to stop the car!

I was a bit boored so i did a bit of polishing to my wasgtegate. I'm not completely satisfied with it, but I don'w feel like getting my hands even more fooked up when it doesn't make the car go any better... I'm going to paint the lower part of the "membrane housing" black, and get some red anodized alminium nuts for it in near future.
Apart from that, I've ordered some stuff from Summit again. This time it "just happened" to be some fittings, an a/f-meter and a RED breather tank.

I got my parts from QTD yesterday, so now I almost have everything i need. I also got a bottle of break cleaner as a demo. Or perhaps Erik just thinks that my brakes are dirty...

Not much has happened, but at least something... The car is now professionally polished, taken out of traffic and put into the garage, so this years driving season is officially over for me. Now it's tuning-season! I've had time to unbolt and return the wastegate that I borrowed from FjunGul (thanks again!) and fetched my own wastegate, which has been completely renovated with a slightly bigger valve.
