We found one of the reasons why we had airleaks in the intercooler, we found that the rubbersealing was damaged and there were also small pieces of paint on the sealing surface. The biggest reason though was that the connection was slightly oval!- solved by violence! The oiltank in the boot has been removed only leaving oilhoses to remove. We are having second thoughts about were to place the oilcooler, front or back… the future will show.

Parially disassembled the engine, though we left the intake, flywheel timingwheel and head still left untouched( for so long). We also pressuretested the IC and surrounding piping- found a couple of leaks.

After a trackday at Mittsverigebanan we noticed that the rear brakepadsmas worn out…We also managed to floor the brakepedal a couple of times…the first time was a bit freightening, but we learned to read the signals you could get before it happened again.

As said erlier there is always panic prior to an event like this, this time was no expection. 3 days before the event we got the rebuilt strut and we tried it on the car. Now it turned out that we didnt´have enough clearance to the driveshaft- PANIC! Back to the workshop who helped us and show them. 45minutes later the problem was solved using rotating grinder for 45 minutes. This time the car culd be testdriven the day before we were planned to leave. The planned wheel alignment we had hoped for was of cource just to forget, but we atleast got it goin.
