I bought the car in december '98. It have been thru loads of shit... Bought it the day before new years eve, bought a pair of 17" Fondmetal on my way home. In february the rear brakes decided to stop working... No fun, but what to do? Answer: empty the wallet!
Later that spring i got a streamer for the windshield, eyelids, kamei grille etc.
In june '99 the mess started again... Got a letter that said that i didn't have a driving licence anymore (ooops!), and this was on the second day of my vacation! I thought that well, then my friend gets to drive it.. So he did. And hit a goddam animal. When it gest bad, it gets REALLY bad. Anyway, the car stood at the repairer's place for two months, and in the meantime Ihad mourned over the car and spent all my money on booze so I couldn't afford to get it running until late december. Of cource with new 16" Bridgestone Blizzak on the std 16" wheels. 15" steel wheels are SO ugly! Then I had SO much fun! 4-wheel drifting in every curve...
During spring '00 I didn't do much more than installing some stereo equipment.
But then a sunny day in june the boost pressure wouldn't get the ordinary way into the engine, so it leaked out somewhere else. My first attempt to locate the problem resulted in a broken hose that costed 1386SEK... That's about 180 bucks! For a bit of hose! Anyway, tried some things but didn't find the leak.
But then, a sunny day (ok, it rained like hell, but sunny looks better ) in october I had some minutes to spear, so i started to rip the hoses apart. And guess what, there was a big leak in the hose between the intercooler and the inlet pipe. Weeee! Found it! Buy a new one from VAG? No way! If it breaks, it can't be good. Instead I bought a bit of silicone hose, some 2,5" metal pipe and some evil type jubilee clips, so now the crap will stay in one piece!
